I just recently had my door handle become inoperative. From the research on this forum, it looks like many others have experienced the same problem. (I have to open the window to open the door from the outside) I have an '03 and I'm out of warranty.

The fix seems pretty simple according to several posts. However, I've seen recommendations to get new clips, to use tape, to ziptie the pieces, etc...

Are there any prefered methods out there? I'd try to get new clips, but am reluctant to get the same faulty design. Has MINI corrected the clip problem with a newly designed clip?
