I'm going to take advantage of the BMW/Mini's "owner choice" program when I get my Mini next week.
It has lease like terms yet you get the car title up front. You can bail out if you wish to sell the car and not pay penalty since you have the title.

It is being stopped in October because it is really in the favor of the buyer and not BMW.
Not available everywhere.

What do you think of that?

Bill

Is this true? You can break the lease without penalty? I know your name goes on the title, but I didn't know about this. Do you know if there are mileage restrictions? I live in Illinois, so I'm going to do this, too. I don't have a big enough down payment saved up and my car comes next week - plus, I'd like a short term commitment. Could you tell me more of what you know regarding this? Thanks.

It would not be very smart for me to tell you the conditions for this option since reading about it at minusa.com or calling your dealer would be more informative.

Not even sure if you can use this option in your state.

Yes there is a milage restriction.

I to don't want to put much $$$ down either

The Mini is not just a car but more of a life style, yet after a few months this may not be the life style for me or you so I like idea that I can bail without extra $$$ burden.

Of course that is just my opinion and.

Bill...I am using that option too (although I am pretty much definitely going to be buying the car when the period is over) I just don't really drive that much in a year so it seemed like the best option for me....(I only average about 10K per year)....and hey you get your Mini next week!?

A friend of mine and myself are organizing a great job and a Mini picnic at one of the beaches in Calvert County on September 7th.....I will post more info on here as I have it.....(but I recall that you live near me if you want to participate!)

Cheers!
