How do I go about finding my ship's call sign for the ocean weather site? I am on the Tanabata - is anybody else on this voyage an have you learned our call sign yet?
You will only get a position if the ship reports weather. I don't know if it has to or not. If you look at the observation data page you will see that some report every hour. If the Tanabata does not report weather we will not know where it is.
I know it won't make it get here any faster but I'd love to know my Mini's ocean location!
I guess if we never hear the Tanabata's location, then it means it didn't run into any weather...which means our ship is safer! I'd rather our (huge, massive, heavy) ship not run into any possible delays and not see it on the site... you know? It still would be nice, though
According to the shipping site I am also on the Tanabata, but the mini site has me listed as awaiting transport. Is this the same with you guys or (heaven forbid) did I miss the boat
The owner's lounge will continue to show awaiting transport until your Mini reaches it's port and is taken off the ship. You can always call the toll free 866-ASK-MINI number for the latest info on your baby. I'm sure it's safe on the Tanabata. Mine is on the Tanabata and gets off in Charleston. It won't be long now!
Yep, same here. the owner's lounge still shows our car as being on "Awaiting Transport" status, yet it was loaded on the Tabanata last Thursday.
Why can't they update the status to "In Route"?
