Morristown MINI, good prices, questionable service

Hey all,

I purchased a JCW strut bar via EBAY from Morristown Mini at a value price of 225 + shipping. I received my parcel well packaged and in good shape 2 days later.

To my dismay the JCW bar had multiple nicks on the top portion (visable) and scuffs on the bottom portion (non-visable). It looked as if the unit was pulled off a demo car.

I contacted Morristown and i was informed their policy is they would only exchange/refund if the item suffers from manufacturers defect. Their QC team would inspect the item and use their discretion to make the call; of course shipping at my expense.

I just got my tax return and had some $$ to drop but you can guess where i won't be doing my shopping. I would excercise caution if you were buying from Morristown Mini

Interesting.

Little over a week ago, I ordered checkered door handles from them because they had the lowest price I could find.

Yesterday, I e-mailed them because their website still showed my status as "processing". Magically, my items were shipped out yesterday afternoon. They claim they were on backorder and just arrived at their dealership.

I'm fairly certain my order was misplaced for a week.

I suppose i'm somewhat spoiled with the service i've received with other online retailers. Buying a strut tower brace half way across the country sounds ridiculous but (saving) money makes you do strange things.

Hopefully your door handles don't come nicked!

Just the opposite...

I ordered the JCW spoiler and it's in perfect condition, even did the install myself.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

I bought the JCW strut brace from them and it came through just fine, other than the fact the FedEx folks decided to not deliver it to my door as it sat in ther terminal for four business days before they put it on their truck locally.
A while back I was interested in their painted aero kits they offered. But Nick at Morristown told me up front that if they shipped it via UPS or FedEx, it would arrive on my doorstep damaged, so they stopped sending them. I appreciated the honesty and avoiding a headache of making a damage claim or returning it. I've been eyeing up the JCW exhaust they offer at a great price, in fact far better than ANY dealer I've found yet, but they won't ship that either.

My only complaint about Morristown is their response time to e-mailed questions is zero-to-none. If you have a question you have to call them.

Monday I ordered the aux guage kit from Morristown for the Cooper S and received them yesterday with no problems whatsoever. Although I have yet to install them they seem to look fine..

No problems here.

Got my aux input and JCW exhaust from them. They did the install on the exhaust and did a nice job.

Next up--JCW Sport Brakes.

I have ordered from them twice. The first time there was a slight delay, but both times my stuff shipped perfectly and I would definitely order from them again. You can't beat their prices.

I just ordered the aux cable and the JCW checkerboard mats this past Saturday and received both items on Tuesday. As a disclaimer, I live in central NJ so the shipping distance isn't all that far.

This is very surprising. I have dealt with them since the beginning and have always been treated right. May I ask if the Ebay auction stated the item as new? If it did then it isn't right you recieved a questionable item. Give Rishon in the internet orders dept a call and tell him your story, might get some more help.
