Makes the problems of the MINI pale in comparison..
If they recalled that many Minis, it would be most of them....but that is probably such a small percentage of PT Cruisers. I was just thinking about this yesterday when I was driving home. I see about 15 different PT Cruisers a day on the road. SO many people have them! Since I have had my Mini I have seen 2 other Minis on the road.

How so? Actually the PT Cruiser has had a very good quality/reliability track record since day view in late 2000. In fact, this is the first time in nearly 2 years the PT Cruiser has ever had a recall notice sent out to customers. According to Consumer Report, the PT has been rated as the highest quality DCX product in the market and has near Toyota reliability levels. Not bad for a Dodge Neon derivate eh?
Now if you compare the Ford Jokus (Eh Focus) against either MINI or PT Cruiser, yeah the problems experienced by the latter pale in comparison with the 9 or so recalls issued for the Focus since model year 2000.
I don't own a PT Cruiser neither care about them much (Now the car looks kinda stale and uglish) bit credit must be given where credit is due.

Actually, by "perspective" I only meant to say that this sort of thing happens to many cars--not simply MINIs. In addition, this is not the first model year of the PT Cruiser. Lastly, I am completely indifferent to the PT Cruiser (don't want one, happy for those who do since they seem to be much more available!) and only posted this because I've seen the two cars all too often lumped together in comparison. I suppose beause of the 'retro' thing.

I see that many too. Problem is, about 1/2 are owned by small business and covered in advertisements! I pray that the MINI is too small for people to butcher it that way.
