Recall Notice

Got two in the mail today about Recall Campaign No. 15V-450: Side Impact Performance.

"Rear seat passengers could be at a slightly greater risk in a severe side impact."

Hmmm, maybe I'll use this visit to INSIST that the dealer deal with the squeak in the driver's door my F56 has had since new.

I was told that this is a 4-hour service, just FYI

Same here.....I scheduled the recall, 10,000 mi. service, and the a/c smell problem for service. I will get a loaner for a couple of days...

I also got my notice and called the dealer. They will not have parts until after Oct 1 2015.

There have been a few comments on this forum regarding the possibility of NEW squeaks and rattles after the recall is performed. My plan is to hold off until seeing whether solving the impact problem creates new problems, or not. (I never have rear seat occupants so the safety aspect of this for me isn't too urgent).

It would be helpful if we could have "reviews" of the completed recall.

I had mine done a couple of weeks ago when it was in the shop for an A/C evaporator replacement.

When I picked it up, I immediately checked that all the speakers on the HK were working because I had read here that could be a potential problem. Mine were fine.

I've put about 1K miles on since with no rattles, squeaks, or any other problems.

Recall Repair Problems

I found on Simular Posts on the recall that rear speakers were out for one owner after the recall repair and one owner lost the Info center column in the front several times when he hit a bump on a long trip home from the dealer.

Is anyone else seeing unintended malfunctions after the recall repair?
