Heavy iron? Im reasonably sure there is less than 1% of that plane that is iron. More over, how did you sneak onto the tarmac? I have always wanted to do speed trials and practice drifting at an airport.

You are correct about the iron part....it is what 'some' call bigger airplanes. A Citation I pilot will look at the G-V and call it 'Heavy Iron' or a 717 pilot will look at the 777 or 747 as 'Big Iron'. Just a figure of speach.
It is not my Mini.....I just reposted the pictures here out of the "off-topic" section. If ords finds the post I am sure he would be very happy to answer all your questions. But for now.....enjoy the pictures.

I am from Cito! Born and raised. I have not yet seen anybody on Nam from SB, let alone Montecito!
We will have to motor sometime on the backroads!

... I'm really from Pasadena! By birth at any rate.
The SB house has been in the family since the mid-fifties and I became the laird (meaning I bought the house from my folks) in the early-eighties. Now I'm supposed to do split-duty between the polar fields of Meechigan and the West Coast. Only problem is for the last couple of years it's been less than a month in total out there.
We keep two cars in the western garage, as it were, but neither is a Mini. As for a putter about the back roads, I would love it. We've got a standard routine we seem to do the first day we get back there... AFTER I take the cars off their jackstands and check the fluids. From the house we head north along 192 to San Marcos Pass, and let the car get its legs back on SMP. Then head up Foxen Canyon or one of the other feeder roads to get us in the backdoor of Santa Maria. Nice pieces of pavement there. North about eight miles from Main Street in SM to Tefft Street in Nipomo, head east to Jocko's for dinner. Return is usually over to the dunes and then south on Cal One with some side trips on parallels until One ties up with 101. After that it's a freeway cruise on 101 all the way down to Olive Mill Road and then home.
I think my wife has spotted you at least once. By any chance do you have a couple of these critters...
If so, I think you've been sighted once or twice.
BTW, your's is the only other monochrome Silver Mini I've ever noticed here at NAM.
