car 05 MCS, for months I thought it was me with greasy fingers....but the car was washed yesterday at the dealer and after both door windows were cleaned, I lowered them and then raised while discovering some grease residue on the inside middle part of the windows.

Anys suggestions as to what should I do? Should I take it to the dealer or keep wiping it off?

 

Same issue here, a strip about 1/3 of the way back from the front of the window. I'm taking it in for its first odometer-scheduled oil change in a week or two so I'll ask the dealer then... I may have read about this in other posts...

 

My mini has the same affliction. I think it's from a roller on the window track, but I could be wrong. Forgot to check on it while I had the door panels off.

 

Ditto here. Anybody resolve it.

 

This has been discussed since the dawn of MINI time and I don't think there is a good solution yet...

 

Yup, same stuff, same place.

It is especially bad after a period of rain.

Go figure...

 

SO if it has been discussed to death, what has been the outcome when taken to the dealer?

 

yeah..this sucks. hahaha i need my windows clean!! can't stand it when there's marks on it. can't be helped tho..oh well

 

keep forgetting to have dealer attend to when i go in for service
