Got a flat twice - Need a spare
I got a flat yesterday and got it fixed. This morning its flat again. I really need a spare. What should I get? I also remember that someone here makes nice spare cases for the spare. Do they still do that?
Its a 05 mcs with 16" wheels. Non run flat of coarse.

or call Classic MINI, one of the NAM vendors, and order one

I bought a spare set of white S-Lites pretty cheap from someone on AtlantaMINIs. I got new tires last week, and kept my best tire (mounted up, of course) as a spare.
I figure the runflats'll get me home, then I can install my spare and drive around normally for the 2-3 days it takes to get a replacement tire out here in the boonies.
Being the generous and kind soul I am, I'd gladly lend my spare to anyone in the Scenic City MINIs for temporary use in case of a flat.

or you can also grab a spare off a fellow car that has a 4x100 bolt pattern.
wondering if anyone could give a few examples of fellow 4x100 sharing cars?
im just about to switch to non runflats, and figure i can graba spare off of a car in a junkyard thats on my ride to school. Already asked them if they had a cooper i could grab on efrom but they didnt, but i saw alot of older civics which i think share the bolt pattern

??? Some wires have gotten crossed. the only link shown in this threas is to a site for buying a bag. I can find nothing about buying wheels or tires.
Ebay is the place to look. If you cannot find one there, go to tirerack.com and buy the most inexpensive rim (steelies are always good spares) and have a tire mounted to it.
I believe (don't hold me to this) that many Honda's have the same bolt pattern.

Try posting on your local Mini club. Many club members have a second set of OEM wheel-tire combos after they traded up to better sets. They may lend you a temporary spare or sell you one.
Watch the Marketplace here. That is where I found my donut spare. I bought the Bag Lady bag for it.
The donut rides standing up behind the passenger seat. I feel that is a safe way to carry it.
One thing to think about is a full sized tire & wheel laying loose in the back of your car will become a very large & heavy projectile in a crash.

The donut stands up behind the passenger seat. The passenger seat is moved back as far as it will go against the donut. This wedges the donut between the rear seat & the passenger seat. While it's not really attached to anything it's wedged in there pretty darned tight. In a crash it may also become a projectile, but I think my mounting is safe for me. Your mileage may vary. One drawback is you loose the use of the rear seat for passengers. Not a problem for me.
