R50/53 Where's my AIR gone?
Where's my AIR gone?
Poor little unloved 06 MCS JCW it must know that it's getting sold soon for an 07 MCS.
Tire pressure light bonged the other day - checked all my pressures:
RF: no budge from the PSI gauge
LF: 20 psi
RR: 20 psi
LR: 20 psi
Put in the recommended 35 psi and we're good to go. Wish it would get warm out - this is to crazy cold for even me!

Yikes!
I hear you on this weather thing. I can handle temps in the teens, but the minute that little minus sign appears I question as to why I live where I do.
(especially after returning from Miami last weekend.)

I h-h-h-ear ya!
Last week when temps were below 0, I got into my Explorer after sitting for 3 days at the airport, and the tire inflation thing "bongs". I knew the thing hadn't moved yet and sure enough after a few miles, it went out.
Low temps=low pressure until they warm up. The MINI hasn't bonged us yet though

Pfffff. It's finally above 25 during the day and now they're saying 2-5" of snow here. At least I have a winter driving school to look forward to next weekend, it's kind of hard to slide a Mini in summer without wearing something out or breaking something.
Ontopic: Heard that this is a typical runflat issue, the cold results in a differential expansion of the rim and tire, and with those thick sidewalls occasionally this results in a rim leak. Good bead sealer applied at a good tire shop seems to resolve most issues.

Yesterday was the first time in about 2 weeks that we had temps above 20. So I braved the elements and checked my tire pressure. It was down to 29psi. I had to go to 5 gas stations before I found one that had a working air pump!

Don't worry - I'm sure he'll be getting an '08 JCW when it comes out. He's just trying to get the free MINI Toaster for purchasing 6 MINIs!!

Yes I'm selling my 06 JCW (this is my 5th MINI) I want something different.
It was 30 degrees in the Convention Center garage when they checked my pressures - thankfully the workshop had a compressor for all the lift trucks.
I've already got the toaster/microwave combo - working on the popcorn/waffle maker.
