Golf bag and MINI

Spring is on the way. Its time to be ready for the golf season. This will be my first season with the MINI. What will be the best way to pack you golf bag into the MINI coupe. Assuming, I have semi-pro bag without cart attached, plus a 45" driver .

All I did was put one of the backseats down and the bag fits no problem. A towel to protect the seatback is recommended.

You ever play Timbers at Troy? I was paired with someone there who had a MINI. He had no problems with his bag and thus the start to my obsession with the MINI.

It is easy with one or both back seats down. Way better than the trunk of most full sized cars!

Nice course.. , But this year my first round will be at Whisky Creek..
Did he put his bag on the passenger seat upright through his opened moonroof?

The MINI can accommodate a threesome -

Last August, on the day immediately following the day I picked up my MINI, I picked up the other two guys in my threesome at 6 am to give them a ride to the golf course--about 45 minutes away. Since they were expecting the black SUV I used to own, you might imagine their surprise. It was a blast pulling that fast one on them!

I folded down the back seat behind the driver and laid the bags down at a slight angle. We had to move the front seats up just a bit, but it was proof that 3 full grown men and three golf bags can fit without anything sticking out the windows or the sunroof or causing any wear and tear on the interior.

(When we got to the course, the other guys thought I should just drive right out onto the cart path...I have to admit it was tempting)

That would be funny! BUT, it would suck immediately following when you had to drive away quickly and not play.
I was able to fit my cart bag and Bag Boy 3 wheeled Push Cart in the back w/ plenty of room. But has suggested above, use something to protect the Mini's back seats!

Motor On!

"The MINI can accommodate a threesome"

Yeah, my mind is in the gutter.

Anyway, folding down one back seat is the best bet.

Now, the real trick is trying to take 4 fishing poles, plus all of the fishing gear, when participating in fishing tournament. That usually requires the poles going out the sunroof.

Plus towing 20'+ bass boat to the tournament.

I wonder if our MINI's are the same size as a golf cart therefore passing as one when you go to the course and save the cart fees! HAHA!

I've been able to take some smaller trout fishing poles in the MINI, the poles go from trunk to resting the tips above the speedo.

Being an advid golfer myself, fitting golf clubs in a MINI is easy. I also own a sunmountain speed cart and with ethier one or both seats down, both the bag and cart can fit. I've been able to fit upto two golf bags with push carts no prob.

Just be careful and use towels or an old sheet to protect the back of the seat and all the plastic bits that can marr easily.

I must admit, the most common comment I get when parking at the golf course is, "Aren't you going to use that as your golf cart?"

Your not the only one. I have a Sunmountain Speed Cart that I use everytime I golf, no exceptions. Granted its not carrying, but there's still alot of walking and pushing involved.

One of the greatest things about golf, is that long walk up to the green with your putter
