This is a question for Chrono Package owners.

Q: Why did you get it? (The chrono package)

I have listed all possible answers as an aid, you just say the letter.

A.) Because I wanted to get ALL packages on my dear MINI.
B.) Because the big speedo is ugly.
C.) Because I dont want to look at the middle of the dash to see my speed!!!!
D.) Because the chrono has extra gauge info.
E.) Well my first MINI had it, so I wanted to get it on my next one because I really liked it from the first.
F.) I want me speedo behind the steering wheel.
G.) It's looks really cool
H.) I bought my MINI off the lot, thats just what it had.
I.) I didnt know you can opt not to get it.
J.) Other Reason: ____________________
K.) Because I didnt know better, now I hate it, and really regret getting it.

 

D and F for my and my wife's cars.

 

B and J: The center speedo becomes a distraction at night.. too many things are lit up..

 

C, D and G. I like the Chrono pak.

 

i wanted oil temp and pressure and preferred the speedo where ony I could see it

 

D - I like to know as much as possible as to what's going on under the hood!

J. As long as I had the Chrono Pack I would not be tempted to get a Volt Meter.

I love mine and if you could still get it i would do it again:

I am really bummed the '07s don't have a Chrono Pack.

C,D,F & J - Everything is right where I need it, only thing better would be a HUD

 

C,D,F,G Even though the gauges are supposedly not real (not directly connected to the engine?) I love my Chrono Pack and I wouldn't have it any other way. Plus you get separate left and right blinker lights.

Of course they're real, in the sense they provide real information. If you're saying they're not real because they not mechanical? 40 years too late.

 

b,g and d plus I dont want to advertise my speed to all who can look into the Mini.

 

Originally H and C, but now after having it, I can add F,G and J "Fun to watch the Oil PSI needle jump when I hit the gas".

I really want a boost gauge...anybody where I can get one that mounts next to the speedo/Tach pod above the wheel? Most of the boost gauges I've seen can mount on the Tach only (They don't fit with Chrono/Nav package).

They have a set for cars with the Nav package, which has the same speedo/tach combo as the Chrono Pack. 'Course, if you already have an oil pressure gauge, you could swap out that for an oil temp gauge.

 

I think chronopack looks really cool and I like being able to monitor oil pressure and temp so I know when the car is REALLY warmed up. I too would like to have a Boost gauge.

 

You forgot one more option:

L. I hate the center speedo and I'm too cheap to buy the Nav.
