Rust?

I recently bought a 2004 MCS in NJ. We had to change all four tires and rims, and when removing them 3 out of the four were rusted on to the car. (not to mention a dead mouse fell out of one ) Has anyone else had a problem with this? Also, they had previously had the stems in the runflats replaced, so wouldn't they have had to remove the tires then? Just wondering what other people's experiences have been with rust. Thanks!

All the mice living in my car are still alive, so no.

Depends how long it sat and where is sat.. but could be possible that they were rusted to the rotor...

as for dead animals... try telling a customer that his brakes don't work, cause he ran over thumper and he got wedged in the caliper pin.... and then try getting that off to do the work... :impatient

Hi its fairly normal being that the rotors are cast iron and flash rust easily.I find using a little anti seize from permatex helps just a little on the back sides of the rim were it mates to the rotors

Antiseize is the answer to your iron rotors "rusting" to your wheels...it's a very common problem and easy fix.

Same for me when I went to LordoftheFlies to learn how to install the brake bushings. Had to gently assist the odd wheel loose because of the rust. We coated them before I refitted them to make it easier next time.
