I hope to never hear this again
I love my MINI, but if one more person says "Do you fit in there" I'll go crazy

I'm not a small person but I'm not Andre the Giant either. 6' and 240lbs does not a giant make. Not only do I fit I'm very comfortable and it drives like a dream. When we drive friends around sometimes I even sit in the backseat. It's OK but I don't want to go for a 3 hour ride back there. It just seems rude to follow "is that your MINI?" with "do you fit?"

If you know of a nice witticism to reply with I'd like to hear it. The key here is nice I don't want to scare anyone. Due to my gigantic proportions I could really scare someone. PS. I'm a black male so I scare some people already.

Amen to that!
I'm considerably smaller (6'2"/170 lbs), but all week I've been hearing the same thing from friends/family/co-workers once I tell them that I'm getting a MINI.
As far as what to say back...the only thing which comes to mind is...
That's what she said!

Here's a good reply!
"Blow Me!"
But really, you have a car that not that many people experience, and todays society is full of judgemental a-holes. Just smile, say "yes, I fit quite well" and go about your business.
IF you let this get to you, the next irritant will be the "cute car" comments, the "chick car" comments, the "clown car" comments and on and on and on.... Get over it early or it will become an issue....

Depends what you want to achieve with your comeback !
If you want to embarass them: "Tight is always better, right?".
If you want to play on their fear of your appearance: "Yeah, I'm pretty big alright. But you should have seen the guy I beat up and stole this from".

My wife is 4'11" and doesn't fit well in a new Honda Civic.
The seat controls are lacking and she can't reach them easily (the rest of the car is fine).
Your fit in a MINI is probably quite good by comparison.
Q. "Hey DUDE ... do you ACTUALLY fit in that itty-bitty car?"
A. "No, I walked here and the car followed me"
At 6'1" 230 I tell them I don;t fit I just drive it.
But I actually rather enjoy the
of getting out of the car and people expecting someone half my size, then they all runaway scared and don't bother me with silly questions.
