Probably a dumb question but does the Cooper have a spare? The car I'm looking at has the run flat tires.

 

Cooper yes, Cooper S, no.
The runflats are ok, but are REAL stiff. With 17" wheels, you will get a rough ride, but pretty good handling. There are hundreds of threads on the subject about replacing runflats and the pros and cons.

If you stick your head under the boot bumper you'll find it. (It has a cover that attempts to hide it)

Spare tire was a selling point for me on the Cooper.

 

I enjoy living dangerously with no spare and non-runflat tires.

 

My wife says I'm full of hot air, so I decided that my car didn't need a spare tire.

 

I have a spare, but I am guessing with the JCW Brakes it will only fit on the rear.
