When was Gold discontinued?

On a club run up to Northern Virginia last month, we saw a Gold cabrio in a parking lot. One of the other club members thought that Gold had been discontinued before the cabrios were released, but it sure didn't look like a re-paint to me.

So, does anyone know if the convertibles were ever available in Gold?

Edit - Oops, forgot to search the forums first. Seems there are some Solid Gold convertibles out there, just not very many of them.

Naw, but really, it wasn't really horrible, it just seemed very intentionally unique and perhaps inpspired by the Greenbay Packers or Oakland As considering

You're probably right. I don't know if the blue convertible roof and the Solid Gold paint were available at the same time, but that probably would have been a sharp combination.

Would they have a red and gold combo for Kansas City Chiefs?
