Life can be very bizarre!!

Iv'e been following the V-tec Minis that Mini Tec puts out for a long time now. I have a picture of one of my favorite ones on my desktop at work. Today one of my employees put an inappropriate picture on his desktop, so I replaced it with the same picture I have on my desktop. The same picture as the first one I included below. About 30 minutes later I close up the office, climb into my '05 MCS and head out to First street. You'll never guess what passes in front of me! I knew it was this car as soon as I saw it. I wish I had a picture of the look on my face, my jaw must have dropped down to my chest and my eyes must have been as big as baseballs. I followed the Mini across the street and the driver pulled up to a storage facility, the gate opened and the driver told me to follow him in. His name is Jim and he was giving a prospective buyer, Patrick, a ride. Patrick told me that it is really fast. It was dark out but the car looked like it was in pretty good condition but not like new. They agreed on a price of 21K and Patrick said he was going to think about it overnight. This car started at Mini Tec in Georga. If I remember right it was purchased by a guy in North Carolina. He listed it for sale here on NAM. It was bought by a guy in New Jersey who passed away at the age of 37 the day after he bought the car. Then it was purchased by Jim who lives in my hometown. What are the chances of something like this happening? It's a small, strange world we live in and a I love it!!

A hummer- thats funny! I haven't talked to him yet. I didn't notice it till he was gone. It was some satanic rock band logo.

I personally didn't have a problem with the logo, but some people in the office would be offended by it.

Update! And a little more wierdness!

I talked to Patrick. He said that he is going to pass on the car. I told him I thought it was a good idea. The car is not in top condition anymore. If it was a 100 point car when it left Mini Tec, then I would say it is about an 80 point car now. He dropped his price to 21k and I would say it's now worth no more then 17k. I told patrick, for another 7K above the 21K asking price, that he could have Mini Tec make him one to his exact specs.

A little more wierdness: This morning I picked up the latest issue of Mini Magazine. It's a UK based classic Mini magazine. Inside is a story about a yellow V-Tec owned by a guy in L.A. He has two of them and he is building a mini truck. It turnes out that patrick knows him. It's a small world we live in!

Go to www.superfastminis.com There are not really any numbers there, as each car is different and built the the buyers specs.
