Leather seats OK in the attic?

Will my leather seats be OK in the attic in Austin, TX? I'm trying to make more room in my garage. I know sun makes them crack, how about the humid warm attic? Also, would I have to worry about rodents getting in them? Thanks.

Yea, I'd be more concerned about mice and other critters making their home in the leather (IE. Ripped out) than the warmth hurting them. I would try to put them somewhere else...if not, at least put them in a box with a lot of packing peanuts and some insulation of some sort.

Not a good idea - I stored some empty cardboard boxes in a "mouse accessible location" (a shed, not an attic) and the mice actually relished finding the styrofoam and peanuts in the boxes, quickly building huge mouse nests in the material that gave rise to many more generations of rodents. Both roaches and mice LOVE styrofoam - so I would not get those close to my treasured leather seats.

Okay....plan B? Put the seats in a wooden box, or aluminum, or steel, and hook it up to electricity. If any mouse touches it, they die! Or you could go the cheap way and just put 100 traps around.

I personally like the Aluminum/steel idea.

They would be better off if you sold them to me instead.

Alright, I dont want to set up a rat camp so I guess I will go with plan b and hang them from the ceiling. Its not as pretty, but affective.
