R50/53 Why do they have the card?

Hey,
I don't really remember what the card is called, but I think it is something like the MINI Saftey card. What is up with that, I have never had a car whith that in it before, and it looks like they are trying to act like it's an airplane, what's up with that. Did you get one of these cards when you recieved your MINI?

JAbrams,

The safety card is (at least in my past experience) a standard item in BMW issued cars. It should have come with your Owner's Manual; most are packaged inside the leatherette pouch that MINI gives you for paperwork and books.

Though cards are different for specific BMW models, the general format is the same -- safety information concerning seatbelts, airbag deployment and the placement of children and child-safety seats should be listed on the card. On the MINI card is also mentioned the "boot pull". (It is the manual release for the boot via a cord.)

Mine was in the pocket of one of my seats when I recieved my MINI.
