Finally received my JCW checkered Floormats

My Cabrio is DS and I was very pleased these are actually more DS n White than black n white checkered. I was really expecting Black n White but when I pulled them out of the box that wasnt the case.

I thought I would share this info in case some of you who were expecting true black n white to be forewarned. If you are a DS Mini owner rejoice.

My checkered mirror caps should be in some time this week. Should be a good MINI week.

They look nice. With the soon to be new mirror caps, they should tie in beautifully.

I think I want those.
Do you like the texture and print?
Do they wear? Slide?
Do you like the cloth insert on the driver side?

I love em I however do not know about the wear issue due to the fact they came in today. I do not mind the black cloth on the drivers side I suspect to help with the wear.

I wish I had gotten the rear ones maybe next month. Now to get the checkered valve caps.

My wife is making me two very small fleece checkered blankets for the kids to use when the top is down. Checkered fleece can be had at walmart for 2.99 a yard.

Other than that I will refrain from too much checker stuff.

Now to clean my MINI before the big rain storm.

I haven't seen them in person, but I have heard that the white is more of a silver. (I was toying with the idea of the checkered floor mats in my PW cabrio, but have a feeling that they wouldn't really "match".)

Is that an anthracite interior you have there?

I used to love mine (still love 'em, don't have 'em anymore)!
I had mine for a little over 6 months. No wear issues and they don't slide...but, stuff will slide on top of them! Only problem (not really a problem) I had was that they got dirty fast. But, so do the rubber ones. They actually kind of shimmer from the nylon in them (nylon/rubber mix I think). I thought that was pretty cool. The cloth insert just protects your shoe backs. Never really noticed it much.

Congrats!

Beware that they get dirty very easily and will show that dirt to everyone. The off-white checkers easily show dirt and stuff if you get in the car in the rain.

They are great looking new but after a few months, we were inclined to remove them and but our OEM rubber mats back in. The driver side would get really dirty and the passenger side clean if your not carrying a passenger all the time

Just a word of caution on getting them dirty.

Very nice, do you have the checkered roof and bonnet stripes to match?
