... That's the grill for the hands-free cell phone microphone ... 'What hands-free ...', You ask? ... it's not offered here!

( ... and thanks for showing us where you keep the garage door key ...)

That's the patented MINI automatic rumor generation device (goes well with the center left button on the multifuction steering wheel).

At various times, it's been attributed to a sensor for the climate control system, something to do with the alarm (whether installed or not), or the ever-popular "soon-to-be-announced hands-free cell phone microphone". Take your pick...

SSShhhhhhhhh..

You're not supposed to talk about it's existance when you're in the car.

It can hear EVERYTHING!!!

It's better to pretend you don't notice it, and if anyone mentions it, just
say that it is a vent for the heat from the clock.

Remember, curiosity killed the cat.

It's the microphone for the background-noise compensation feature in the stereo. It's also used for the hands-free cell phone (not-yet in the U.S.).

Cheers,
Ryan

That’s the sub atomic particle scrambler for the passenger seat. It’s activated by the little button under the… I’ve said too much… Just leave it alone if you don’t know what it is.

You all are way to funny! Very good.

We should take pictures of strange things on our Mini's and have some sort of MCO liars club.

Thanks for the laughs.
