Where's all the multifunctions at? Center-mounted horn is cool, but I like the look of the current wheel better. This one seems to take its theme from the door panels, which are my least favorite part of the interior.

Gabe, Thanks for bringing us cool stuff like this!
Since I don't frequent MINI2 much if at all, its nice to see cross-posts like this.

I agree with ya, more cheesy plastic in the interior is not what you need.

No word yet on when or if this will be availble but it looks like a finished product to me. I imagine the MFSW buttons would be placed on the silver sections of the wheel to the left and right of the hub and the horn is finally in the middle (where it belongs). I love the look of this new wheel - much nicer and a bit more modern than what's in my MINI currently. It will be interesting to see how they deal with different trim colors and if the differing trim will be transfered to the wheel.

Sounds like it will be available in the '04 Models - Yippee!

Hmmm.. I'm undecided on that steering wheel since I like my MFSW so much.

The thing I really like about those pics though is the cordoba beige sport seats! I thought if you wanted the beige leather it had to be on standard seats. Anyone know if that is going to be a new option? I never understood why the colored leathers (other than lapis) weren't offered for the sport seats!

dominicminicoopers - no problem! After posting it to my site I realized that there would probably be lots here that would probably be interested in checking it out also.

Looks like the standard climate control to me (i.e. what you get stock if you don't select the auto a/c or the premium package).

gotcha, I have the premium package. I hadn't seen the non-premium, so I guess this is what it looks like

Yea, if I could have gotten that interior on my S last year I would have a BRG/Black with that interior.

Don't like the wheel though.

Hmmmmmm. I'm not crazy about it. It looks a bit thick and clunky for my tasts.

It's kind of futzy looking--like a giant toy steering wheel someone stuck in as an afterthought (I don't like)

I do, however, like my sport steering wheel but I have a question: it's way different than the sport wheel I had when I test drove the S prior to purchase. When mine came in the dealer (sorry, motoring advisor) pointed out that they beefed it up a bit as part of the HK package? Is this true, or was he just trying to make me feel special? The one I test drove was kind of anorexic looking whereas the one I have appears more susbstantial. Nicer finish, I think.

(and now I have 100 posts )

Ciao,
~Kelley

I greatly prefer the current wheel myself, but damn, that'd be sweet if the new wheel had a horn! Man I miss being able to honk.

And yeah, it does look just like the Beetle wheel.
