The adverts for the 2007 (a.k.a. "R56") MINI Cooper are surfacing on the web (and on TVs if you're not in the U.S.)... I immediately noticed an Unidentified Flashing Object not seen in any photos in any official (or unofficial) photos...

What is this?

 

Automatic Climate Control?

 

Sure look like climate control to me too. The arc looks like the one on my 06 to indicate fan speed.

 

Rev meter. I belive it moves with the sound of the throttle in the spot.

 

Maybe, its a mood gauge! With the sensor being in the shift **** .

Overboost timer? Sure looks like auto A/C but I don't know why that would be flashing.

Edit: I just watched the video and I didn't see it blink, it's gotta be auto A/C.
