Experience with Moss Mini????????

I hope this not a forum violation...........I'd hate to get sent to the Mini corner!

I am a bit leary of buying from MossMini and need some help from experienced obsessors.
  1. Their web site is as poorly done as I have ever seen......you can't find any information about a product unless you call. For example, is it leather or vinyl; is it plastic or aluminum; does it come with instructions; etc.
  2. When I call I get a moron who says "oh is just sticks on with tape" I tell him it is a replacement for a part that either pushes on or screws on, he says "okay then it probably screws on"
  3. When I asked if something was leather or plastic the goes "I don't know.....I'd have to go look" with an attitude yet!
Any advice?

Hey, you got somebody on the phone that actually went to look at a part for you before answering your question? That's about 10 times as much service as you'll get out of most dealership parts counters of any brand...IMHO.

I've never delt with their customer service, but I've ordered twice from them and everything was fine.

Same... I think I called once on the status of an out of stock item. Nothing on a item's details.

We've dealt with Moss for a long time...never had an issue. Maybe you caught somebody on a bad day???

I've ordered from them approx. 10 times. Never had a problem, except the Ultra Altezza tail lights. What a bunch of junk. Had to send them back twice because they cracked and clouded up. Other than that, they are great.

I've also had great service from them.

I bought some stuff and had to return an item since it was junk and they had no problem.

I used to do business with them when I had a Miata (Moss Motors), and I was always well taken care of.

I echo the positive feedback. Yes, their web site is a bit clunky, but I can usually find what I'm looking for without too much of a problem. They were quick to contact me about a back order recently, and shipped it much faster than expected.

Only problem I have had was with my locking valve stem cap set. 1st set was chrome...someone stole one or somehow it fell off, so I ordered a replacement set. The 2nd set I got were the cheaper plastic ones. I felt a little cheated since they were the same price.

They matched well enough that I didn't bother sending them back.

The order arrived fast though and they replied to an email question promptly as well.

Well????.........

You can;t beat that!

All positive!

Just wish they would get a real web site. It amazes me that companies who make a fortune from their web site don't care about the user's experience.

I tried to get some information on a Piper Cross cold air intake for my MC. The guy on the phone knew absolutely nothing more than the few words that were on the website. Other than that, the stuff I ordered from them has been OK.

other than $20 dollars s&h for a shift **** sent surface (which is a TOTAL rip off) item came intact .If the **** hadn't been on sale I would have cancelled the order. Probably won't order from them again.I mean, if you want to recover the money lost by putting the item on sale, just be up front about it IMO.

SAVE SOME MONEY!!!

Write down the part numbers of the parts you wish to buy from Moss MINI, then go to the Little British Car Company, www.lbcarco.com and enter the Moss part numbers and you'll save money. This is especially money-saving if you order lots of parts on one order. Click on the SEARCH 24,000 ITEMS hyperlink on the left side, then scroll down to start adding your Moss part numbers.

It works because the Little British Car Company is the parent company of Moss MINI. This is a little-known secret, but I've decided to spill the beans.

SAVE SOME MONEY!

My experience with them has been great! I have ordered twice with them and did not have any trouble. If you are having trouble with their website, try ordering their Mini hard copy catalog.
