Is PW/PW rare?????

I see very few pictures or references to PW/PW.

Also, I called the local dealer to get roof rack stud covers and he asked what color my roof was.....black or white.......I said it was PW and he acted like I was nuts!

No, you are not nuts...by a long shot!!! PW/PW is not an unusual combination at all in my experience. I have seen three or four in a row at local events....and why not? It's an awesome combo!!

I'm not saying I'm not nuts.......just that a PW roof doesn't confirm it!

PW/PW "White Lightning" was purchased in Michigan and I drove it into Colorado June 2004

The next PW/PW I saw was in Feb 2005 in a drive thru Mcdonalds It was so cool to see another Mini peep with good taste

Wilkommen!

i love my PW/PW, i think its very classic.

But most are PW/B, i havent seen a PW/PW in my area yet.

My MA tried to talk me into PW/B and called PW/PW too "plain". But then again, i plan on added custom stripes on my bonnet/roof/boot and i wont have to invert my colors. I also find the simpleness to a solid color attractive.

Next time they ask, just tell them your roof is "body color"!!! That will explain a lot!!

i love my pw / pw. I think they look really clean. the black top takes away from the beautiful lines of the car in my opinion...

My informal survey at MOTD 2006 suggests that only 1 out of every 4 PW MINIs has a PW roof:

I've also done a survey that proves that 82% of all survey numbers are completely made up.

Personally, I've found it to be a fairly rare combination, but I think that the car looses a lot of its' natural line with a black roof. I do love, however, a deep tint job between a PW body and a PW roof. Look at the photo, below. Did you ever notice how strongly the height of the windows decreases toward the back of the car? It really gives the rear 'haunches' of the car an agressive look and gives the glass and roof a very speedy, windswept look. You lose a lot of that look when the roof/glass/body contrast is diminished by a Black/Black/White color scheme rather than White/Black/White.

I also think that the contrast provides a much curvier / sexier rear line... look at the line kept by the spoiler on the back of the car? Would you see that line so cleanly if the car had a black roof?

Of course, you have to take everything I say about PW with a grain of salt... I've gone a bit overboard with what I call a PW/PW/PW MINI. I love our PW/B breathern, but I waited for an extra month to get Jango, my PW/PW MCS, re-ordered when the dealer mis-ordered him with a black roof...

Agranger,

beautiful car!!! my MCS is going to look alot like it pretty soon. my tint job is scheduled for monday at 4:00pm and im going to get an estimate for my wheel arches and side skirts to be painted tomorrow. Although i ordered Euro wheel arch trim that doesnt have the reflector/lights.

well ok...so are cars wont be exactly the same, i have m7 grills and no added driving lights and different rims.

but hey, its close! BTW i love your taste!!!

PW/PW = <3

Thanks!

There are lots of pictures here, along with information about the whole process I went through getting the arches painted.

It seems like I saw few PW/PWs the first several years...more PW/B. Then somebody got word what a hot color combo it was, and that word spread....I saw an absolute flurry of new PW/PW owners within the last two years. Drive what ya love, I say!

I knew I wanted a mini, but when I saw a pw/pw I was convinced.
Check my gallery.

Check out "Peerage of the Pepper White" thread/club on MINI Talk. You'll find plenty of your "ilk". As a former PW/B owner and PW/B #1 Emeritus, I have my own preferences but PW/PW is a great combo!

Doh! That's the same PW/PW/PW pictured above...

I'm never gonna live that one down...

I got some great footage from the camera mounted in the rear glass, pointed backwards. I watched it 10 or more times that night and was laughing my A$$ off every time.

If you were present at the taking of this picture, be sure to check out page 49 of issue #4 of MC2... I snapped the picture w/ the photoshopped dragon on that first scenic parkway before lunch. You might be in it.

wow... beautiful cars... i've never been a fan of "white" cars until the Mini Pepper White. The more i've seen the PW/B, the more I've liked it, esp. with the black hood strips, but the PW/PW with the PW wheel arches is awesome... and you're right... the tinted windows really add to the definition.

Hmmm.....I was at New Country MINI in Hartford, CT last night and what do you think I saw?

That's right, SG/SG-I'll admit it's the first time I ever saw one, any SG for that matter. It looks really cool at night-many different colors, just like a lot om MINI paint.....

I guess it was from Vermont......

I can't remember the names, but the Electric blue MINI had very cool dragon stripes... a male/female pair... The guy in the car is in the other picture from that same event... blue hat, blue shirt, tan shorts... lots of mud on his size 12 shoes!

If I remember correctly, the woman in jeans on the far left was driving the silver MCS.

There was even someone going the opposite direction in their MINI that caught the whole thing on video as they drove by and they weren't even assocaited w/ the scenic drive group! It took me 30 minutes to get all of the mud out of the wheel wells and the inside of the wheels when we got back to Fontana!

I'm loving the name of your soon-to-arrive MINI: Grover!

He needs some red mirror caps or a red hood scoop!
