Good Morning, Little bit. I see you are still relatively new around here (I also extend a somewhat belated Welcome to NAM! ).

I will answer your question 2 ways:

1. This is one of this simplest, cheapest, most useful mods you will ever get.

2. This has been discussed, lauded, critiqued, resurrected, and rehashed
countless times - as with numerous other subjects - here on NAM over the years. You should always try using the "search" function first. Chances are it has been discussed.

Please don't see this is a harsh criticism. It is simply a word to the wise.

It's well worth it. This is an aftermarket mod that should have come with the car.

One of us was smarter when my fiance and I ordered our MC's.

The not-so-smart one didn't think it was needed but ordered the gb organizer a month after delivery (I'm glad I did...it makes storage so much neater).

No brainer. Spend the $30.

Agreed, great upgrade. Perfect spot for your books/reg/insurance info, CD case, and all kinds of other little goodies.

I also got the console organizer to compliment it, but then you loose the gauge option.

Ya lose that nice glovebox "cooler" for larger objects when you install the organizer, but you gain a VERY NICE solution to keep all that crap that gets shoved into the glovebox from falling out when the door is opened.

Be careful you might void the warranty.

Two weeks after taking delivery, a fellow motorist talked me into the advantages of the glove box organizer. Once of the most simplest, cheapest mods you can do. Its perfect if you have an iPod adapter. Plenty of space for Users' Manual, a few CD's, and even space for my extra motoring grille badges

Bottom line, Buy it, you wont regret it.

Glove Box Organizer

Totally agree that this is one of the better mods - add to it the Euro shelf and perfection is approached.

GoMINIgo's glovebox tidy has a vent port that allows the cooled air to pass through the support bracket so a larger area in the glovebox is cooled.
I would recommend you take a look at this version.

That's not bad. I wonder if the Moss Mini iPod dock can attach to it?

I got the Iride Ipod glove box organizer from Mini Mania. It holds my Ipod in a sleve and allows it to be connected to the Ipod interface adaptor in the glove box. It is very useful, my Ipod doesnt fly around inside my glove box, so it doesnt get all scratched up while im hitting the turns. It also keeps my Ipod in the glove box so i dont have it on my dash or in a cup holder with wires hanging around. (i can control my Ipod from my steering wheel/radio) It keeps the cabin area nice and clean looking. It has a shelf and a seperator that helps to organize things, and it is covered in black felt (atleast thats what it seems to be) It also fits perfectly and slid right into the glove box.

I like any mod that looks/functions as if it could have been offered by the factory and this sure does play the part.

all in all, i am glad i bought mine.

It's not a problem - really! (And you'll find that the mods aren't quite that overbearing in their moderating.) It was just something to make a note of for the future. See, you have even gotten a lot of good feedback! Sometimes, however, repeating subjects doesn't go over quite as well as this one has and I was just trying to spare you some frustration down the road.

It now seems that you need to pursue this even further. Based on the above discussion, it isn't a matter of whether or not to get one, but which one to get! :impatient

the search engine for this when you enter in two words, or try to put them in quotes is downright terrible. Unless it has it in the title you could be searching 100 posts before finding the information, unless it is an unusual word.

I cant find anything on how good the boot box is or isnt. I looked up boot box and it shows box or boot. both are used 9000000 times and wont show them stuck together.

while I am at it, is it a good thing or what?

I got the boot box and I love it! It keeps things from sliding around and it folds flat with velcro when you have bigger things to put back there. The only thing I don't like about it is that there is velcro to hold up the middle part (it's got four sections you can fold up or down as you please) and the velcro near the fuzzy back seat part sometimes sticks to the seat if you aren't careful.
Hijack over.

You can get the iRide iPOD holder by itself it comes with screws to mount and it can be custom mounted to the Gbt

GoMiniGo confirmed that the seperate iPod dock that Moss sells should mount right onto the GoMiniGo organizer.

The glove box organizer is great! It has compartments that hold the owner's manual, a checkbook, a PDA, my work keys, etc. I have the MINI one, but I'm sure some of the aftermarket GBO's are great too. The main problem with the glovebox is that when you open it, the contents are pulled out by the hinge like a big PEZ dispenser. The GBO stops this.

While you're at it, get the European Parcel Shelf. If you aren't aware of it, this is a shelf that replaces the utterly useless driver's knee bolster under the steering wheel. You'll gain some needed storage space and even gain some leg room as an added bonus.
