Most Miles in ONE WEEK

Ok, so we have only had our car a week. Picked her up sat 8/26 and from then to sat 9/2 we put....

1,468 miles on the car.

we picked her up with a mere 38 miles.
(we had to show her off so we made a complete lap around SC to visit family, and never doubled back over roads either!)

ok, who's got me beat?

We did 5,000 miles during week two of ownership. We're at 29,000 miles after 14 months....

That's pretty good, SCmini! I drove my brand-new 2003 MCS more than 10,000 miles in 6 weeks in April/May 2003. On that trip, I drove from the FL Panhandle to Los Angeles in 2.5 days, which was about 2100 miles.

Back in May I put around 2,500 miles ('05 MCS) on a 5 day roadtrip from Miami, FL to Nashville, TN and back. The trip took us on the Dragon and nearby Cherohala Skyway. What a great drive it was!

Damn Clo! 2.5 days from the panhandle to LA is a lot of driving. You mean to tell me you drove 800-1000 mile days???

I cant say it was in a MINI, but like Clo, we've taken 3 and 4 week vacations driving 10,000 miles at a time.

Many 1000 mile days. One long day was from Fargo,SD to Missoula, MT

Yup! Heck, I've driven from here to Santa Fe many times since the 70s. It's fun! I like getting out of the city and on the open road. It relaxes me!

A whole group of us PDXMINI clubbers drove from Portland, OR to Gerlach, NV and back through northern CA--4 days and 1400+/- miles. Not a record distance according to this thread, but a beautiful drive.

Personally: in college I drove from southern CO to Minneapolis, MN in one day. 1500 miles in... 15 hours (including stops). Not the smartest thing I've ever done.

I just motored from Los Angeles to the Florida Panhandle in 4 days, averaging about 500+ miles per day. I did the same thing in April, and have done every April since 2003. There is just something about long road trips...

Bwaaaaaaaaaa! Fargo to Missoula???

My longest day was Coos Bay, OR to San Francisco, CA... Most in a week was probably -- hell, I don't know cause I take a lot of road trips. One of which, like Clo's, involved over 10K in 6 weeks while driving around the country.

OP: You are not alone... by far. I was out of break-in within a week and a half of pickup.

And I thought I put a lot of miles on mine. During break in I was averaging 100 miles a day. Did MTTS and drove from Boston to Charlottesville VA through that tropical storm in one afternoon. I did stop and switch from my zippy into a brand new-loaded up-JCW S convertible. I drove that car the rest of the trip until picking mine back up in NJ for the CT leg. Definitely the most MINI miles I've ever done in a weekend (something like 1500-2000) but it was spread over two MINIs. Here I am somewhere in MD or VA on the Kings Dominion to Wash DC leg.
