How long did you guys set at the port before moving to the vpc??? I was unloaded on the 31st but it still shows me as load on vessel. OL shows me en-route.

 

The owners lounge is horrendously late with their updates and the dates are often incorrect. Mine has been sitting at the VPC for 3 weeks. There is something wrong with my car, I found out yesterday, but not sure what it is yet.

 

Mine sat on the dock for 10 days the 2 days to clear the VPC. Sitting on the dock can be the most painful part of waiting for your Mini!

 

It also depends on the dock. Which one? My car got offloaded in Charlotte, NC relatively quickly - in one day or so. If you're in NYC it might take longer.

 

My MINI Sat on the docks at Charleston, SC for a day and at the VPC for a day or two. I was lucky enough to receive my MINI here in Fort Lauderdale less than a week after she hit the shore!

I also went through quickly...off-loaded from the Don Juan, through the VPC and on the truck in a day or less. Mine like T-Mac's...more the exception than the rule.

 

Im in Charleston, SC. I checked again to day and Cargo Tracking still shows me load on vessel, which would worry me, but it looks like every one on my ship show the same. I still have not gotten discharged. Does this mean I'm still at the docks or is it possible that I am at the VPC?

You and I are on the same ship, and yesterday I went to my dealership and talked to my MA. He showed me "the list" which said that I was at the VPC, this despite the fact that both the WW site and the OL haven't updated me yet. So you're probably at the VPC, but if you're still worried, contact your MA and ask if they have a distribution sheet they can check.

You might also want to call 1-866-ASK-MINI. I called them almost daily towards the end. They gave me very accurate information and could tell me if a work order had been printed at the VPC.

The problem is that ASKMINI no longer can provide information following loading at Southampton. The policy changed a week or so ago, and now you have to track through the shipping site, the OL and your MA.

Well, if this is so, maybe we who took delivery earlier this year fried their circuits with our multiple calls per day! Seriously, it does make sense (...on some level) to route all info through the MA and let them access the information which undoubtable MINIUSA must still have available. Still, I think we all took great comfort in ASKMINI and their patient, helpful staffers who seemed to have the only real information. Hope this change doesn't slow the flow of info...I fear it will.

YES!!!! Called my MA and he said that I am at the VPC, but have not yet been released to the transport. Should be right on schedule for EDD of 04/09

 

I've been at the distribution center since March 26... estimated delivery date was 3/25. That was changed recently to 4/5, but I'm not expecting to make that one either.
