Holy crap!!! Ernesto almost got my MINI!!!

This is no joke, people - I've got pictures. About an hour ago I had a 90-100 foot tree in my backyard fall and come within a couple feet of my month old MINI!!! The tree also fell the only way it could have to not trash my house, deck, the neighbors' cars, etc. Pics in a few...

This Ernesto guy sounds like a jerk!

Seriously though, glad to hear you and the MINI (and the house, porch, etc.) are ok.

you need to make a grave for that tree. that tree used its last
energy not to hit anything.

Here's what I first saw when I stepped out the door:

Another view:

If my wife had been home, her car would have been sitting right where the tree is laying!

Here's a pic of the base of the tree:

The tree is huge, so it's difficult to get a pic that truly represents it's size, especially with how it fell.

I've got plenty more pics, but I don't want to bore you guys!

Yes, that last pic was taken on the opposite side of the house from where the cars sit.

A neighbor who came over to check it out told me to go buy a lottery ticket

Yeah its quite nasty out here right now...flooding is an issue in lots of places as well as power outages. Ernesto canceled my MTTS plans for today.

Ernesto cancled my "MTTS" plans to. Me and and a fellow NAMer were going to go on a little run. But too wet and nasty so we decided not to.

Are you sure...

Looks like your Mini moved itself out of the way! Always keep it in the garage so if a disaster strikes and your Homeowner's ins is Replacemant type...they cover it 100% when you buy another! If it is outside (I think) it is covered by the auto policy that depreciates it and you will lose $$

Glad all is ok!

That's the only downside to this house - no garage . But we have enough land to build an attached garage at some point in the future (the first picture would be looking into it).

Man Turc, like Mugami said first rear ended and now this close call . Glad to see you came out ok on car and home. I would take the advice of that neighbor and get that lotto ticket as well as some scratch offs. If you win can you loan me a couple dollars, !!!
