Does anybody have a gold cooper yet, if not, when are they expected to start appearing in the U.S. ...especially in california. Also, what are your thoughts about the gold ones, are they better than silk green, and are they sparkly enough?...Etc.

I think it's just for the Cooper and not the Cooper S - based on the Miniusa site. You can build a Cooper in Gold right now.

It looks like a good color.

I would be satisfied with some sort of a metallic or high gloss black for the Cooper S. Why would they not put their best black on their best model?

I like it. I don't think it will look good with a white roof, but the one on the MINI USA site looks great to me. Maybe not as good as Silk Green, which is an old favorite of mine, but it isn't bad

the gold and white looks sharp, not something I would ever purchase though.

Saw a Gold Cooper at MINI of Morristown (NJ) on Sunday. Fascinating. Don't remember the roof color, I was just shocked to see it period.

I've only seen pictures of the gold color in the "New MINI" book. All the pics show the gold with a black roof...it looked good. I'll miss Silk Green, though...I saw my last one

I had a gold car one time. it was very difficult to keep clean. Also the surface rust was terrible. It would get a hold long before you noticed a problem. I don' like it~~~

Isn't that a color combination (Gold/White) that you can't configure? I was just on MINIUSA and only the black and body color roofs are selectable with Gold.
