Mini ownership stats based on gender??

Does anyone know if there are statistics on the percentage of female vs male owners of Minis? Also, if either gender prefers the S to non-S??

Why?

Is this an attempt to resurrect one of the old "Is the MINI a chick car?" threads?

I don't know, but I'd guess it's closer to 50/50 than just abut any other car.

The MINI is definitely NOT a chick car. MY MINI definitely IS a chick car.

It depends. Does your MINI wear a bra or a jock strap?

"Mini designers also threw in what they consider to be some voluptuous feminine curves and some masculine muscular bulges to cover all the visceral reactions. Thus the Mini is neither Guy Wheels nor a Chick Car. It is an engaging automotive device with an appeal that stretches across gender, age and economic status."

Just an opinion, but certainly one that I share.

This is Bob Barker, reminding you to please have your MINI spayed or neutered.

I've not read any stats on male/female attitudes towards the Mini. All I can say with certain is that both male and female alike seem to have postive comments on my Mini. Men tend to ask about gas mileage and women always comment on how cute it is. Only one exception seemed to dislike it.

I think they've isolated him for too long in his garage. Mini needs to get out around other Minis!!

I've had some guys give me hell for getting rid of my cobra and getting the mini....they say it's a chick's car, etc. I tell them that they're just jealous and ignore it.....simple fact is, once they ride in it, most of them admit they were just jealous, LOL.

Oh, and telling them you're doing a bit of reverse compenstation never hurts either.

How many times can this possibly be hashed out?

I just used my chick coffee maker and am preparing to make some toast with my masculine toaster before laundering with my decidedly neuter washing machine, so I guess I better get on that and leave this thread alone. But you know, I'm REALLY sick of the neighbors making fun of my chick Kitchen-Aid - I know they're just jealous, with their silly little guy Black N' Deckers...

In our household, the MINI ownership ratio by sex is 1:1 with the male population preferring the MCS and the female population preferring the Cooper.

Odd.. I've always found my Kitchen Aid to be quite masculine

Oh come on now!

I mean really, this is a topic that has been hashed out here on NAM countless times... And in the end who cares?

You bought the car, you like the car, does it matter if you're male or female?!?!?!

Why does it matter?

What's next? Are modded MINIs owned by more men than women?

Is there a trend that women prefer MINIs with new intakes while men prefer MINIs with new exhausts?

I know, maybe women like MINIs with DSC, while men prefer their MINIs with ASC?

Sheesh!

Women. Far more MINIs have some kind of bling (mod) than performance enhancement among the 150K sold. Women by far.

Actually yes. Men tend to blow hot air a lot more than women

Absolutely. Think of electronic nannies like cigarettes. Women like the filters. Men go for Camels and Luckies.

I think you got it just about right

Do men or women look at themselves more in the MINI's rearview mirror?

I look at myself in the vanity mirror. When I look in the rearview, I like to see my SO in his MINI.

Dittos on everything Michael said. This "topic" has been hashed, rehashed, liquified, and pureed into TOTAL MUSH. And, NO THANKS on the poll idea.

Chick car?
"I drive a MINI. What are you compensating for?" that's my answer.
I love my MINI regardless of what anyone thinks of it... it's 99.9% all good in the commentary department anyhoo. :-)
