Maybe if you took her out to dinner every once in a while, she wouldn't be so starving as to eat every last crumb!

But I also agree with some of the other posters. It's a car, a complex assemblage of metal, plastic, rubber, glass and other things no one really knows about. In those 26 years I've had 5 vehicles I always clean endlessly trying to keep them nice and clean. I like driving a shiny, clean, vehicle. But it's a car, and I paid usually good money for, and I'll do whatever I want to in there including SMOKING, eating, SMOKING, drinking coffee, SMOKING, etc. Okay, I don't smoke in it THAT much, just sometimes. I'm just careful and I clean up afterwards quickly. Fact is, when I see the next one I want, the current one will go to the dark side, probably a child. I never trade them in because they always are high mileage and perfect for someone else in the family.
Ok...I'll confess that I've smoked in my Mini once or twice But it was only during an emergency situation where I was trapped in a traffic jam and I had the fan on high, sunroof and windows wide open Ours wives should meet...God bless my wife but she treats her car as a dumpster for her and the kidslol:

i rather enjoy how evenly split the responses here are between, "it's just a car, it doesn't matter that much, if you were a good husband you'd understand that" and "you have to make her realize that it isn't just a car, it really matters, and if you were a good husband you'd make sure she understood that."

Perhaps that split can be resummarized as "I've already had one or more cars reduced to non-working, krinkled mess in less that a second, so it's just a car" and "It's never happened to me, therefore treat it like the work of art it is". Note that I didn't say who did the krinkling because I try to be a good husband. Oh, pizza is here! Gotta go. Wait, where's the wife and shouldn't she be cooking dinner? Naw, she's out driving somewhere. Go figure.

Trust me you're not the only one, the only time theres ever even been an open container of anything in my 06 MCS was when my grandfather had to take pills and that was only cause it was water!

[QUOTE=MiniChik]Oh man, this is really funny!

If crumbs bother you then I dunno about kids, they are messy little things. You could always tell where my friends little boy had been sitting in their leased vehicle because of the booger marks all over the leather seats. Or my other friend whose boy on a road trip completely rainbirded the inside of his truck!

Ok, now if I found boogers on the inside of my car.... I would retch! That is sick! Nothing like a little boogerage!

And since taking corners like a granny isn't an option for me, I've opted for just making all my coffee, bringing it with me in a thermos, and putting it in my mug once I get to work.

Or, if you get your coffee at Dunkin' Donuts (I MISS that place out here on the west coast!) they have a little tab that you can close back up after you take a sip. Now that's engineering!
There are new travel mugs that have tops that completely close! It's a little flap. And, if its a foofoo drink, I opt for non fat milk or soy but I have them put a thin layer of whip cream (yummy) to block the coffee from splashing out of the hole. foam just doesn't cut it!
