Well today sucked. Some loser backed into my mini and busted of the black wheel well molding on the drivers front side (Clips on to the hood) of my Mini Cooper S. I was pretty pissed (he took off), but after finding out the parts are only $20.00 it is not all that bad. To Bad i will not have time till friday to fix it if the parts come in by then.

Ahh well

Got to love Long Island

Doug, this may seem weird, but how about posting a pic of the busted trim? I can imagine getting just this sort of damage myself, and I'm wondering just how busted up the trim can get and still leave the body underneith in good shape. It does seem pretty amazing that someone could hit the car in such a way just to break the trim. You definitely seem lucky!

These pieces are very inexpensive and easy to replace. The only problem is the plastic snaps do not want to come off easily after removing the plastic trim. I had to replace the piece just past the part attached to the bonnet and I had to remove the fender well to get to the back part of the snaps so I could cut them off with some snips. The piece that is attached to the fender was only $6.90 out the door and came with new plastic snaps as well. Since this piece was on the bonnet the plastic snaps should be easily accessible.

Good Luck
