Who says your too old for a Mini?

Wow we currently have a lady in finance office who is 98 years old and buying her first Mini.

I think that is awesome! Is she the oldest mini driver? Interesting to find out.

Wow, that's old! How can she even drive? That means she was born in 1908. WOW. She has been through everything....that must be AMAZING. First (well, kind of) cars, airplanes, WWI, WW2, The Great Depression, etc. I cannot even imagine how that would feel, and to see how technology and the world has changed.

Simply Amazing...

We had a guy that used to go to our chuch that was 103 and he was still driving and living alone until his kids decided to put him in a nursing home at 106 where he lived to be a whopping 110 years old.

You said she was "in finance"...I thought you were refering to a department of your company or something.

And I retired last year...just haven't told anyone here at the office yet!

That was my first thought - then remembered Rossii's workplace.
Call me PI, but the idea of a 98 year old person driving scares me!

My 89 y/o grandfather uses a MINI convertable for his company car. The other day he called me to explain to him how to change the radio station. "Someone was playing rock-and-roll and he wasn't too intrested in that". The stereo had no ***** to change the channel... he could never figure that out. He's so cool! Got to love my Gramps!

I'm 49 and I feel almost like a kid again when I drive my MINI. Who cares what age you are? It's living that counts! And it sounds like that 98 yr. old gal has it all figured out! Good for her!

When I'm 98 my MINI will be 40 something. Is that a May-September marriage? Oh yeah, the wife, the MINI . . . buy gifts for the wife, buy mods for the MINI. Okay, I think I've got it.

I would love to be buying a brand new 2088 MINI Cooper when the time comes! (I'm 16)

Good for her! They say in 30 years, life expectancy in most western/industrialized countries could rise into the triple-digits, so this will become increasingly common. Nonetheless, it's still quite cool to be seeing someone who's old enough to remember everything that's happened since WWI started buying a new MINI.

I almost feel too young to own a Mini and I'm 18. It's just not the normal car a HS Graduate would get. Maybe a College graduate, but all the Mini owners I see these days are around middle-aged.

The thing is though that I don't look like I'm 18. I actually look like I'm around 21, 22.

I have a customer that is 96, still driving... Although a couple times he has fallen asleep in the waiting room chairs... and I thought he died... We're talking stick and mirror test here... Kicker is, he is my neighbours dad...
