Aero Kit rear bumper decals?

My Mini came into the dealership yesterday (It won't be ready for a week), but I had to stop in and answer a question:

Did I want the decals on the rear Aero bumper? I always thought those were actual vents when I have seen others on the road, I can't believe they are stupid stickers. I told him to leave the decals off for now, then if it looked too plain, I may add them.

Did anyone one else debate this? Does anyone have pics with the decals and/or without them?

I'm pretty sure Peter and Randy @ M7 are going to come out with actual vents for the rear aero bumper. If its as nice as there front grills it will truly ROCK.

I would probably wait for M7 ones like Manny(cycleguru) stated, or at the very least paint the factory decals black.

First take the stickers to a machine shop for them to use as a template, then Paint the stickers (they are very thin metal) black. Apply with two way tape and rivits (or bolts).

Well I guess this is as good a time as any.

I posted a thread"show me your Aero Kits" yesterday to get an idea of how many of you are there out there.

I have a whole new line of Aero Kit Bumper inserts coming to my website in the next day or two. So this will be the first you hear of it.

I already have vinyl decals that can go there to replace the factory Crap they sell you. It boggles my mind why MINI would sell something for so much and not use high end vinyl to put in that area.

So all of my decals are high quality out door vinyl.

I will also be offering diamond plate, Carbon Fiber and custom aluminum plates for the rear and front as well.

Here is one I did for a Cooper. The ones you see here are cut from brushed steal vinyl, but I can make them in any color.

Also I will be offering Custom Door sill plates. Right now I have some that I cut extra for sale. you can Pm me for more info.
They read:
MINI Cooper
Cooper S
cooper works
and look like this

I'm working on making stickers / having stickers made from a photo of the front grill. Repeating that pattern in Photoshop. Alas, life is VERY busy right now and it'll probably be a month till I get back to that project.

Nothing against them, I agree that they aren't bad. The problem that I had them on my last one was that they turned yellow and looked pretty sad.
