This poor MINI looks like it has lead a rough life. Check the black rub strip around the wheel, the gap on the rear hatch and the gap on the door. Wonder if it has a gun rack?

Actually, on a more serious note, could those maybe be just his/her's winter tires? I mean, they do have tread.

I think I've seen him post here on NAM too, I've seen the front 3/4 view, its a modern Rally car and where our MINI's hertiage came from. I think the car as a whole looks good.

Looks more like one of those set of rims that can be used on more than one type of bolt pattern to me

I actually kind of like it....as long as it is ACTUALLY USED for Rally's, I would rock it. That would be great to see a MINI in the WRC or Rally America!

Another Mini with all-terrain tires:

The ultimate rally Mini! The Factory must've thought it was a good idea. This one had adjustable suspension height via a hydraulic pump in the back. They should've had a better air-cleaner tho - the Safari was very wet that year - a bit too much mud. Scanned from "The Works Minis", by Peter Browning - hugely enjoyable reading.
