club 30K

Are you actually one of the few members who actually broke the $30k after all the packages and accessories were added on?

Chime in if you are?

I unwittingly became one MCS owner who broke the $30k mark.

Few? I don't think you will find a few. I think you may find the majority or at least a whole lot

Definitely not the majority, but a substantial number.

Figure almost every JCW MCS and a good number of the MCSc's, plus the MCS's that have a couple packages, leather and NAV.

Not that hard really.

What is harder is having a sub $22,000 MINI.

Hmmm....

I don't know whether it is an honor or source of concern to consider myself a proud member of the $50k club....?? (including tax, destination charges, and dealer prep of course)

Hey, I just loved that "build it yourself website" and got carried away....

Bill

ps - yes, I KNOW all the other cars I could have bought for that much - and I STILL don't regret my decision....

Mine was $34K plus change (~$37.5K after the taxes were paid) That was for an 05 MCS/JCW with 4 pkgs, HK, Leather, LSD, Driving lights, chrome inside and out, and PDC. I added a UJ to the roof, a V1, and Ian's auto up circuit. I replaced the OEM driving lamps with Cibie Tangos, and I'm considering adding the JCW Brakes when it comes time for a brake job, and adding a rear sway bar while I've got it in the air and the tools out.

When my baby arrives in 5 weeks, I will fall just below the standard. $28035. With Taxes, etc, about 29k. The armrest would have probably put me over the top. --doug

I know of at least one person who's come very, very close to the $60k mark straight out of the showroom (in equivalent GB£). My MCS Works cost the original owner around $40k, too...
