White Roof Radio DOWN!

Just an FYI for those looking for their Monday morning White Roof Radio fix...

Currently White Roof Radio is down due to troubles on the website. It appears that the site was compromised and taken down. Db is working on getting the most current shows posted ASAP, but it will be a few days before the site is restored.

The folks at White Roof Radio thank you for your patience.

Yep, the site was hacked. Time to change the hosting over to a MAC.

Had nothing to do with the OS of the server. The problem was platform independent...

#72 might not have worked for some of you.

Last night WRR was hacked. I had to take it completely offline and rebuild it from backups.

In taking it offline, some DNS updating didn't happen, which is why you might be having difficulty pulling it down. You can get it here if you are still having troubles with it. I know the DNS issue has effected mostly DSL users in the midwest, east and most of Canada (dsl or cable).

I would expect everything to get back to normal sometime tonight or tomorrow. That includes the player here on NAM.

Thanks for the patience!

I'll be sure to make this request to my host. It's already on Linux, so no saying how that will go.

More like time for the webmaster to pay attention to security updates for software running on the site

So what kind of "Hack" is platform independent?

it wasn't per se.

The only thing I can think of is 1 application that was being used was out of date for a security patch. Since there were only 2 apps running on WRR, and since I keep Wordpress updated at all times, it must have been the other.

So, the moral of the story is backup your data!

At least it gave me an excuse to change the layout
