Hey Snid...

I was up in Manchester VT a couple of weekends ago and there was a VR parked across the street from me (at the Northshire bookstore intersection).

Any chance that was you?

LOL, well if we're gonna go there, I was in Burlington, VT last summer and saw a Mini in the parking lot of my employer (who also happens to have a facility in Rochester, MN amongst other places). Was that you Snid

-Roger B, who will be moving to the East Fishkill, NY area in July.

Sorry, I don't get the joke. I remembered that Snid lived in Vermont, and had a Velvet Red MINI. That color isn't very common, so I can't imagine there are too many Velvet Red MINIs in Vermont. I thought I'd ask if it was him.

Why is that a funny thing to ask?

satay's sighting might well have been Jason / snid [assuming it was a VR of course!]

It's more likely that scooter's sighting was of "the other Jason" ... there is a rebuilt VR MINI in southern NH/VT[?] also, coincidentally, owned by someone called Jason - but he heavily modded it during rebuild; for example it has an MCS hood with scoop!

"original Jason" with his MINI:

"alternate Jason" with "alternate MINI":

Thanks, Ian. The one I saw definitely had VT plates, so it couldn't have been "the other Jason" (if he's from NH).

The Rochester / Fishkill / Burlington connection was my car. But, I no longer work for Big Blue.

My car has not been parked in Manchester recently, if ever. :D

The "other Jason" does have VT plates on his car.

Snid, that's neat. Burlington is a great town. Hope you went on to bigger and better things! And more money

Moving for work. Hopefully we'll enjoy it. I think it will be more fun for driving, all of the roads in Minnesota are laid out like graph-paper. The east coast should make owning my Mini a bit more interesting with all of the hills and curves! And as I understand, Fishkill is pretty close to Limerock Park, and I think there are a lot of autocrosses at Orange County Airport, so I think I'm gonna be lovin' it!

To add to the "small world", I lived in Rochester for about three years.

While you're still there, I think the only twisties I know of in the area are on the road to Welch Village ski area... google maps to the rescue!
