Steering wheel Logo

I have a 5 month old '06 MC and I just noticed today that the center steering wheel MINI logo is lifting up at one corner...

Anyone else experience this?

Any suggestions? It doesn't want to stay back down, I don't want to start messing with superglue, should I just have the dealer address it at my first oil change in a couple of months?

Thanks

Call the dealer as soon as you read this. Wait a couple of months and it could get worse.

I had the same thing happen, the dealership "fixed" it but it is coming up again. Guess I will add it to the list of little things to get repaired.

Not to hijack the thread, but my steering wheel logo is all scratched up. Is there an easy way to buff that out? Or can I just get it replaced easily?

My wife's 05 MCSa had the right hand corner of the MINI label bend up. The dealer replaced it which required replacement of the air bag unit. Appearantly, the logo cannot just be removed and replaced.

OK, thanks. I'll see if the scratches will buff out.

Possible cause

I think I may have figured out what it causing this problem. I had my steering wheel logo replaced and had been careful to not touch it after that. Well, a few weeks go by and someone pulls out in front of me. What do I do? Push in on the horn. Big mistake. I noticed this when I pushed the "normal" horn area on the steering wheel, it collapses. The logo is now bent and pulling up on the right hand corner. Personally I feel this is a design flaw that MINI should fix, but in the meantime, if you must beep your horn at someone, do so by pushing the gray ring around the center portion of the steering wheel. All it it took was one push and mine is screwed up again.

The dealer replaced my entire airbag as well, I told him I thought it was a design flaw as well, he said bring it in if it does it again, and they'll replace it again

I'm glad I have an older Mini then! That would drive me nuts.
