Mat-Loc??? What is this? How do I use it?

So, when we brought home our new MINI, we found 4 of these in the glovebox (the plastic doobers, not the quarters! ):

They're black plastic, labeled RACEMARK MAT-LOC, so I can only imagine they're intended to help secure the floor mats. This would be great, since my mat has a tendency to crawl up and interfere with the gas and clutch pedals, but there's a threaded screw on the bottom side, and I can't see anything under the floor mat to screw into! HELP!

They screw into the floor board and the mat velcros onto them.

So the hubby says behind me, im sure somebody can give you more guidance on your "doobers"

Thanks for the speedy responses!
Just anywhere in the floor board? Pick a random spot?
I guess I was looking for a pre-drilled spot or something....

That would have been my guess also. I have the MINI rubber mats and mine came with some "doobers" also. I never did install them because the mats do not move.

They can also prop your eyes open so you don't fall asleep watching Matlock.

Thats funny stuff!

I have rubber mats. My car came with "doobers," but I dont use them. The rubbers dont move!

On our floormats there are 4 large Velcro -like black circles on the underside at the rear edge. These hook to the doobers ala a velcro-like attraction. Screw the doobers into the existing carpet to line up with those black circles at the rear of each mat. They just self thread into the carpet as you screw them in with a large screwdriver. The mats will no longer slip.

yeah... just put these in today on my new JCW mats... piece of cake and they probably hold just enough to stop that creeping problem.
