A search on this topic yielded little information..
My MCS seems to have developed a rather annoying creak in the driver's seat. The noise seems to come from the area close to the seat belt stalk, where the backrest comes together with the bench part of the seat.
Has anyone experienced, or better yet, fixed this problem?

Aside from this noise, as of yet I am squeak and rattle free..

I have also noticed this. I haven't taken it in though. I just thought it was my weight. I tip the scales at about between 215 and 220lbs. I just thought perhaps it was the car trying to get used to me. You know, the metal forming in its groovs and stuff like that.

Yup, I've got that. Took it in and they lubed the track apparently. That fixed it, for a while. Then it came back, so I scheduled another visit to the dealer. On the way to the appointment the noise got REALLY bad....then all of a sudden it just quit. And that was that. If it's really cold out and I'm really twisting around in my seat I can get a minor noise out of it, but it's mostly gone now. So I think it's a combo problem of needed lube and having a part settle into place. I'm only 180lbs so I don't think that's it. And it's not the KW springs/Madness rear sway that I have since others with stock cars are also having the problem. Service tech Chris at Rasmussen MINI apparently found a complete fix for it. So if your dealer is clueless, they can call and talk to him.

my driver seat just started creaking when my weight presses against it during turns Glad I found this thread, I was starting to this it was my 220 pound fat *** that was causing it

I'll try lowering the seat a bit, hopefully that will fix it like loaded suggested
