DS/DS vs. DS/BK?

Happy new owner of DS/DS MCS awaiting delivery tomorrow...
It was a toss-up between DS/Bk and DS/DS. Still not 100% about the decision, but then again the sunroof almost makes the roof black anyways! Anyone else out there with these horrible stresses of life?

I have a DS/B If I would have bought new, I would have gotten DS/DS. but, this color was hard enough to find as it is so I couldnt pass it up. Good choice on color, as we all know DS is the best color!

If you're going sunroof, I recommend the DS/B. That is one reason why I went DS/B. The sunroof is so big that you may not like the look with a DS roof. If it wasn't free, maybe I would reconsider, but it is, so no foul.

Congrats on the new MCS. I have DS/DS myself and quite like the look. There are some who will advocate very strongly for a MINI with a contrasting roof color, though.

Either way, you'll be happy-- and if you don't like it, you can get it painted to a color of your choosing for not too much $$.

Sunroof looks great on the DS/DS, I drive around with the sunroof tilted up all the time here in California. All DS's are great lookin, I just really wanted a solid color car.

I chose DS/B just because I felt like the contrasting roof was such a heritage thing. I didn't like DS/W because I generally don't like white on a car. They all look good, though, no matter what the color - congrats on the new MCS and welcome to the DS club!

Whatever. My first was ds/w and the new one is ds/ds. I loved the first and I love the new one. I understand that it feels like a dilemna when you're in the process of choosing, but it's a delightful one because you can't go wrong with dark silver.

When I saw the DS/B, I was hooked. And for me it's going to look even better because I'll be throwing 15% tint on mine when it arrives. I think that'll look real solid!

I HAD To have the sunroof as well, and even though you can get the vinyl covers to match the color of the roof, the black seemed to go perfectly as the sunroof will match awesome with it.

CAN'T WAIT FOR DELIVERY!!!!!

I have DS/B but lately after looking through the DS thread, I kinda wish I had DS/DS. I have it with tinted windows and sometimes feel like it is tooooo much black.

Doesnt matter tho, I love my car as it is

I understand the horrible stresses! I couldn't decide between PS/B and HB/B for weeks on it. My MA finally told me that I had to decide because it was the last possible moment prior to production. It was definately a stressful decision!!

I guess everyone has their favorite... I'll stick with my DS/DS. I am expecting a call today to pick it up.
I think I should consider myself lucky that the exact car I wanted was available within 2 weeks of deciding. It is unbelievable some of the wait times I have read about. Especially for you guys out on the west coast.

I just ordered a DS/DS, struggling between DS/B and for a time DS/W (looks hot w/ white rims)

Stuck with DS/DS, with inspiration from samtrak, or dr.drumandbass, sleek and clean, partially dechromed DS/DS car that is sexy...

It's astounding to learn the varying attitudes toward ds/ds. Quite a few seem to prefer a very clean, simple or even dark and forbidding exterior look. I love the one-color scheme, but my urge has been to brighten and busy it up a bit. I have done this by adding white sport stripes from Cooper Flags to the bonnet and boot...a silver lower front grill from M7 which is by far the best quality grill on the market...two small, colorful topper decals (Union Jack and Star Spangled Banner) from Mini Pirate.....badges on the front grill from Todd's Mods (Roundel badge on order) and Moss Mini (England badge).....and I have ordered chrome antenna and washer covers from Moss Mini. Inside, I have a silver dash and white headliner. All of these together produce what is for me.....welcoming and playful but still aggressive. That's it.
