i dont know how many times somone has sat in the MINI and said "wow, these are actually pretty big in here." I have found that she is actually capable of holding quite a bit...

so heres you chance to show the world what these things can ACTUALLY hold...

what have YOU crammed in?

4 17'' GTO tires

Moving...

my OWN hood

Sure you fit your bonnet in there, but did you put your passenger seat on top of your engine?

I think I've managed to hit the limit of what the MINI can hold. In one trip, I fit the following:
1) A queen size mattress
2) 7.1 computer speakers (10" sub enclosure included)
3) 2 duffel bags
4) Various other things roughly the size of shoeboxes

With no seat sliding required!

I put 2 7 ft long by 10 inch wide poplar boards in mine this weekend and closed the trunk all the way. on another trip I got a 19 inch TV in the box, a mid sized micro wave in the box, a coffee table and 2 side tables (these needed to be assembled and were taken OUT of the boxes), a toaster oven in the box, I wish I'd gotten a pic of this at the time cause the trunk area was STUFFED.Oh yeah we were both in the front seat .

I'd love to see a picture of the mattress in there.

Eight bags of pine mulch, two bags of topsoil, a bag of compost and a bag of peat moss...along with 10 different potted plants! Then I drove Nadine through the back gates and into the yard right up to the garden and unloaded. My neighbors just shake their heads and laugh...but I'm loving it!

Also, I carpool to work with my 6'2" 250 lb buddy...I even let him drive sometimes. The only accomodation I made for him is sheepskin wrap around the "oh, ****" bar on the passenger side to protect his head a bit.

See ya on the Dragon!

telescope

I got the box containing an 8" reflecting telescope (the mirror at the bottom of the tube is 8" across) to fit. The base of the box was about 2 feet on a side and the box was about 5 feet long. The loading dock folks got a good laugh when I drove up, but I got the last laugh when box box fit.

I pushed the passenger seat all the way up, folded down the rear seat on the passenger side, and slid the box until the 2x2 base it hit the back of the front seat.

I love the picture of your bonnet in the car. Kinda like the MINI is eating itself.

that hood was at my buddy's house for about a year. i have no truck, just the MINI. we tried on 2 occasions to fit that thing in it(seats in) with no luck. he kept on telling me he listed it on ebay, just to get me movin... . just fortunate enough to think about the CF on the week i went to the drag strip.

I once filled up the entire cabin from rear of the front seats with toilet paper and paper towels from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. It was a costco run for work and I didnt realize that they wouldnt fit in the packages so I had to open the packages and squeeze all the rolls in individually. Might not sound like much but it is quite a sight to see your car completely packed with TP.

Lets see, I have gotten an extra wide path rug doctor, and a hotshot steam cleaner. I have also gotten 5 people all between 70 and 150lbs in my MINI!

w00t!

Flooring for the kitchen

6 boxes of Pergo, all the other crap, and a table saw (cheap one for the job). All the big SUV people in the home depot parking lot were pretty impressed when the full load disapeared into the back of the car. There was lots of room left too! I could have gotten enough flooring for another room.

Now that could be right handy... Did you have a holding tank, a macerator, or just flush on the road?

oh, apart in pieces, never mind.

I think this thread should require pictures to back up all stories.

Am I the only one freaking out even THINKING about all that dirt, mulch, and crap in my clean car? I get paranoid putting anything remotely un-soft back there because I'm afraid the plastic or seats will get scratched, scraped, or torn.

Hold on I have to hook up the camera to verify but I've had the rear packed floor to the top of the headrests, and the passenger side full to window level no spare room for air. And they only dppr I could open wtihout anyhting falling out was the drivers side door, where I even had stuff packed between the seat and door. Unpload the photos in a minute.

I took a car packed like this (with exception the helmet was inside a fleece pullover and had a laptop on it o sitting on the passanger seat with streets and trips and a GPS going)

Down roads like this:

Sadly, I couldn't get many photos of the roads because I was too busy hitting apexes all day long.

Darn, I should've gotten a pic yesterday as I cleared out my dorm room into the MINI. I didn't even loose any rear visibility with the mini-fridge layed over the back seats.

I've also fit 5 runflats in the back seat and had a boot full of tools at a track day. Also had everything I own in the rear, on my way to college.
