R50/53 Hit the rev limiter today
Hit the rev limiter today
There was some guy in a Mitsubishi convertible that thought he would be better off in front of me. To bad for him
. Anyway I was tacking it out in 2nd then bam it felt like the engine was turned off. I glanced down and saw what I thought was somewhere between 6700 and 7000 on the tach (Yikes) Dam this engine revs fast. I promptly shifted into 3rd and dashed Mr convertibles aspirations.

So I've heard that because the throttle is e-gas rather than mechanical linkage the rev limiter just limits throttle to keep it at the rev limit, rather than cutting fuel and having the revs "bounce" at the limit, like mechanical throttle linkages do. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
