I think in this context it's meant to make MINIs look cool, harmless, fun, successful....but then of course it seems the story goes all wrong. Kinda a book/cover thing.

 

Looks like a good story; I'm loving the camera work; gritty, but sharpened, like Memento...

I think the official molester car is sometype of GMC. They had a sign asking for leads for a GMC on a major highway near me today. Have the police look for that person and let me motor!

 

Why would anyone watch a movie about how a child molester goes about his seduction? This is not entertainment, but more of a how-to guide for other molesters. I find this film in extremely bad taste.

 

Recently, when I told one of my best friends about being pulled over for something I thought was silly, she informed me that while I was on vacation, some pervert approached some children in my neighborhood. This is from the police report (from the Arlington Advocate):

“He was reportedly driving a yellow Mini Cooper or a similar vehicle. Police are investigating ...”

Obviously, pulling me over was a part of their investigation. I’m always glad to help out in any way I can.

Looks like a scary movie.

 

Good thing nobody is gonna watch that movie, it's already been out 10 days, this is the first I've heard of it.

Oh, and to justaguyinvegas - I'm guess people will watch it for the payback/retribution portion that is no doubt part of the movie. Plus, people have a morbid voyeuristic interest in things, just look at the state of TV and media in general.

 

i'd say that film is in very limited release.
it's at the DC international film fest right now.
unfortunately, i missed both showings since i was
watching other films that conflicted schedulewise.

in the past, other films that played at the film fest
such as 'winged migration', 'cherish', and 'red satin'
showed up in wider release several months later.

'water' is also played on saturday night at filmfest dc
and it's not scheduled for wide release til this summer.
