Cars for teens

Cars.com has rated the Cooper as one of the top 12 cars for teens.
"Yeah it's cute, but wait till you drive it. The Cooper is built by BMW, so it stops, goes and corners like its big brothers. The starting price is pretty low, and though it's small it's also full of airbags, and its safety history is quite good. If you can't parallel park this ride, you're beyond help."

That gives me plenty of stopping time!

It also gives me enough time to extend the wings, hit the boosters, and fly over the trouble... yes... I can do that...

my first car was a 1970 1/2 camaro z28 rs, the clutch was messed so i could peel out in it, and it leaked 1/4 of a quart a week, but it got its job done. i still have it and have been collect parts to do a full restoration. i also had a 1974 rusted out bmw 2002, that thing was fun.

a MCS isn't a bad teen car, it is fast but speed is much easier to control then say an audi, with an audi you can be going 100 and not even realize it. you should check out the new crash tests though, mini didn't do well at all, sad to say!

Not really fast...

Not sure I'd call the MINI fast really... I think of it as Peppy. Fast is more of 0-60 in sub 6 seconds, or over 160 miles an hour. Sure you CAN do these things in a MINI S, just not a stock one.

Older E30 (three series from the 1980s) four cylinder BMWs are wonderful cars for kids. They are cheap, sturdy, kind of cool, and not fast enough to let a kid get into trouble. Older Five series cars with the 2.5 and 3 liter engines are great too.
