NEW MCS Pricing

Are people still paying full price for the MCS / Options at the dealership? So basically the price you get from miniusa configurator is what you can expect to pay @ dealership -TTL?

There are a few LOOSERS on the west coast who demand mark ups. DON'T buy from them!

Yeah - paying a premium for a car is so sheisty. It's like... if you want me to pay a premium, you obviously don't need me as a customer, so I'll go somewhere else thanks.

I have no problem paying what www.miniusa.com quoted me at, especially now, after driving it for a month. It was worth every cent! :D

We just ordered an MCS and could only get away with $500 off MSRP plus some free stuff from the boutique. I don't think I would have been able to pull it off without my buddy who works on the BMW side of the dealership, though.

I paid full price but got a few extras thrown in like carpeted floor mats, chrome MINI license plate holder and checkered valve stem caps. Plus no charge on installing some of the small extras. I visited about a dozen MINI dealers east of the Mississippi from last October to December and I found most were all the same as far as the basic car order pricing, but some along the east coast had a $75-$200 dealer prep or paperwork fee. Watch out for these hidden charges.

Another thing to think about is the extra warranties they drop on you when you pick up the car, like the tire warranty. Leather warranty. Extended warranty on the car. I think there were about five of them. I had my check already made out for the price of the car and I maybe would have considered one or two of these items had my MA told me about them a couple weeks BEFORE I picked up the car. NONE of which any of the dealers I talked to told me about these extra offered warranties while talking price. So ask ahead of time so it gives you time to ponder the value of one or two extra warranties so you can budget that into your buying price of the car.

there's nothing wrong with paying full price, but it is no longer the only option. trust me, you can get plenty of below sticker offers with just a few phone calls. if you have been working with your local dealer, good faith would suggest that you at least give your MA a chance to match whatever better offer you find elsewhere, since they have invested the time into "selling" you. lol, as if that was hard...
