I'm not an owner YET, but planning to purchase REAL soon. My fiancee went and checked things out before the banquet and we were grinning ear to ear. It really makes one smile at the whole situation.

I must say, I was completely impressed by the community. I have never experieneced anything like it. Amazing atmosphere and wonderful...WONDERFUL people. I own both a BMW M3 AND a Pontiac Grand Prix and although there are enthusiasts for those cars as well, I've never experienced what I experienced at just the 2 hours I spent walking around talking to people.

I'll admit that MOST of the people I met were some of the friendliest I have ever met (i.e. owners of POOPER from NorCal), but there were a couple (who shall remain nameless) people who were rude to me...whether they were stressed out by the event or just didn't want to talk? I don't know....so I moved on and continued to smile.

Here are a few pics I took right before the banquet when I assume nearly all Mini owners were parked. Enjoy

A couple more photos....

From the Red Rocks run.....

And....

And from the banquet.... I took Alison up front to watch the belly dancers, and at first she was quiet. Then she started bouncing to the music. Then she tried to run out with the dancers.... So I had to take her away, and she had one massive melt down (she's pretty strong willed). So after she had calmed down, I took her to meet some of the girls....

I gotta say, sometimes being a Dad is really hard work!

Also, she was running all over the floor while Phil Wicks and his wife were talking at the podium. Alison got past me, and up on stage and Phil picked her up to say hello to one of the smallest Mini-ers there! He was very nice about it, sorry I didn't get a picture...

Anyway, it was a blast, and my only trip to Vegas where I didn't gamble at all!

Matt

HUGE kudos to Agro and the Sin City club!! I've been to dozens of events like this, and this event excelled in its combination of well organized, concise and comprehensive events and planning.
The runs were hailed by all, and included in a simple but all-encompassing 'road book'. They even stuck to the departure schedules! The hosting facilites had everything we needed (ok, so a hosted bar would have been good for the end of the day ). The vendors were busy with installs, but managed to get out (by 10pm ) to enjoy themselves a bit "We can sleep when we're dead". An awesome event.
I'll be booking early next year!

Personal thanks to 89AKurt for sharing a room at the last minute so I could attend (without sleeping in the MINI!)

I went to AMVIV last year and let me say the attitudes and overall feeling was far better this year. Everyone was so excited and happy about it and we got to run around and be silly. I met a lot more people this year. I'm still recouping and I can't wait to post my pictures. I hadn't planned on being a vender but I'm sure glad I did, I had no idea (get it...heh heh...eye dea) the eyes would be such a huge hit, I'm really glad everyone enjoyed what Tuls and I do!
It was nice meeting all of you and I still missed out on meeting some others I had hoped to...actually I probably did but there were soooo many it's hard to keep all you guys strait.
DR.O-the little munchkin on top of your car photo is awesome! She makes me giggle

YAYYYYY
I can't wait until nextr year!

Wow!! what a weekend, great job Mark & Agro - especially the blocking of the traffic friday night for the Strip Cruise - that was awesome. We meet soo many nice people (Yancy, Shannon loved talking with you). Had a blast on the drive home with "I wave back" "Got2MotR".... I couldn't stick with you guys too long cause I had a full car and full trunk which cause some major rubbing issues. Also left my radios in the luggage. Can't wait till' AMVIV 07' we should definately be able to hit the 300 mark!

Well, I can say that I had a great time as well and look forward to AMVIV IV. My co-pilot (MINI Owner Wanabe) also had a great time and has her eyes on a blue convertable. Maybe my Bender will have a date next year.

The strip run was great and a BIG thank you to all those who did the traffic break.

The worst part of the weekend was leaving (and the 4 accidents we saw in the first 150 miles...hope no one was hurt)

BIG thumbs up to Sin City MINI for a super job as well as Desert MINI for their support. (No Donovan, you can not steal my Bender toy).

Hope to see more cars and great people next year (See the BAMMERS on April 16th)

My wife and I visit Vegas frequently (my mom and brother live there), and this is by far the most fun we have ever had in Sin City, bar none (ok, so we don't gamble). From the moment we arrived at the In-And-Out Burger on Thursday night until Sunday morning when we left, it was a nonstop Mini adventure. And we can't thank the Sin City Mini Club enough for a very well-planned, very well thought-out and organized event. We're already looking forward to next year's event. I have a few pictures I took of the event which I posted on the Travel Stories Gallery on this site (It’s the first time I have posted pictures on this site or in a message, so if there’s something I did wrong, e.g., they aren't uploaded, my apologies).

Yes, Sin City Mini Club ROCKS.

Mark Finn, Agro, Todd, Donovan, all you guys rock. THe organisers did an excellent job.

The highlight of my weekend was the Phil Wicks Driving Academy at The Las Vegas Speedway. My Camel is teh sheeeet. I had a real blast.

The strip run was my fav. Traffic wasn't too bad at all. I'm sure the traffic that was stopped by Agro on the strip pissed their pants when they saw 250+ MINI's come off of a little side street. hahahaha. That was a sight and a half.

Thanks again guys.

Duck, glad you made it. I remember talking to you. I apologise if I was one of the people who came across as rude. I don't think it was me, but it had been a LOONG weekend at that point, and my car had just been attacked by a falling speaker.

I really appreciate all the nice comments and pictures. I'll have a writeup online as soon as I can, and a survey for you all to take.
We already know that we have to have a LOT more space and food for the Mixer. Still not going to be booze coz of liability issues. I would have liked to have had a beer there, but serving alcohol and then taking 200 cars out onto the Las Vegas Strip on a Friday night? Not clever.

Thanks for the sympathy. The insurance writer is coming this afternoon to get an idea of what it will cost to fix. Have to decide if it's worth going through my insurance.
What does "chav" mean? I'm foreign, you know.
