My MINI has progressively bored in to my brain so far that I can't bear the thought of getting rid of it. Lord knows, I tried! My only current prospect is consideration of a possible '09 50th anniversary edition, should such a thing should ever come to pass. However, now I'm thinking of just adding some 50th anniversary graphics and keeping my Cooper. I know this is sheer madness.....or perhaps love. I can't tell.

This is a type of car you buy once and drive it till the wheels fall off. I plan on keeping my MINI well past 100K miles. The MINI car is like porches, not matter what year it is, they don't lose thier appeal. Value is only in the eye of the owner. If I must, I will just buy another MINI and add to the family The thought of selling or trading the my MINI is a nightmare. My ears are rig loud when I hear people wanting to sell. AAAHHH!

My MCS will either become a dedicated track car, or my son's first car...either way it will stay in the family for it's life.

Really? I get rotting boards on my porch every year all needing to be repaired. How can you relate a MINI to a porch. They aint even apples and oranges

My porch is all carbon fiber - super stiff and light. If you've never sipped lemonade while rocking on a CF porch, you don't know what you're missing.

Same! I was just thinking yesterday about the progression of cars that might happen in our family. I can see us getting maybe a ...honda ridgeline...maybe...one day with kids or something but i can never imagine giving up my MINI!

maybe its one of those "firsts" that you never forget or something...

True on the statement that it isn't a porche. But its the same theory. Why on earth someone would even spend the money on a car like that when a MINI delivers the same feeling.

I will say what does catch my eye, is a classic MINI, anything 80 or older.
